Love is a perfect example of a word that can so easily lose its meaning.

I think the catastrophe of our time is not what we usually imagine it to be. For me, the real catastrophe is the loss of language. Love is a perfect example of a word that can so easily lose its meaning. Here, there are two faces turned towards each other, but perhaps the feeling is more complicated than that. They don’t quite have the courage to meet each other’s gaze; they are both looking down, and a chain connects them. Is that connection something good or something bad? We don’t know.
